Ameristar's in-house tube mill facilitates production of the patented "Forerunner™ rails", as well as the steel pickets and posts for this industrial ornamental fence. The high-speed automated production of these G-90 galvanized fence components results in lower manufacturing costs and prompt delivery. The unique PermaCoat® (double layer) electrostatic powder coating process adds a superior maintenance-free finish in a range of colors. When compared to conventional systems framed to standard channels, Aegis II® with the patented Forerunner™ Double-walled "U" Channel Rail offers considerably greater strength due to its specially formed architectural shape.

Ameristar was chartered two decades ago to provide specialty fence products that were more affordable but did notcompromise the quality level demanded by specifiers and consumers. This could be accomplished only by complete reformation of the way fence products were being manufactured. Product design was approached from many new perspectives: maximizing high-volume productivity, increasing strength and durability, promoting ease of installation, and enhancing aesthetic appearance. A new plant was designed and built to house state-of-the-art roll-forming, metal processing and powder coating equipment. The result has boosted Ameristar to its current position as the largest manufacturer of ornamental fencing in the world.
The company began its manufacturing operations in 1982 and within a year, Ameristar became the first manufacturer to electrostatically coat fence products with a superior polyester powder coating. Realizing the need to address growing segments of the fence industry, Ameristar began to produce ornamental fencing in 1985. Steady growth since that time pushed the company to a rapid evolution toward high-technology, high speed production systems for roll-forming, pipe and tube manufacturing and the most advanced epoxy and polyester (double-coat) coating line in the industry.
