NAME OF PROJECT
Ash Residence
DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
This modest Tucson Ranch style home was transformed into a 6,000 square foot two-story Arts and Crafts style showplace.
The use of stone and wood flooring and period wood detailing, including mahogany ceilings and wainscoting, make this newly remodeled home feel like it was built 100 years ago. The rich, muted colors that are taken from the era enhance the owner's southwestern art collection and blend beautifully with their period furniture and collectibles.
The kitchen cabinets, painted a soft grey-green, have traditional bead board detailing and the use of a farm sink and an island created from an antique teakwood cabinet make the kitchen a show stopper.
With a wood floor and ceiling, the formal Living Room is simple and warm. The slate fireplace is enhanced by Stickley furniture, vintage rugs and a bronze cowboy.
