Product Description:
'' Inro'' is a Japanese term for a small pouch or a container, often hung from a belt on a robe, used for storing personal item, such as incense, personal scent, tobacco, and other intimate everyday item. During the ancient Japan, an Inro was often carved with material such as wood, ivory, bone, shell, leather, lacquer, and more. The idea of Inro originally came from China. Chinese have ornaments called ''Toggle'', often made of carved jade, ivory, gem stones, and other material, in ornamental sizes to be hung on an embroidered silk pouch as a weight for the pouch. An inro can be made with single, two, or three separate parts for storage compartments and to be strung together with a cord for wearing. An antique Japanese inro can range from a few hundrend dollars to thousands. It is considered a fine collectible item for Japanese art and antique connoisseurs. These pieces presented here for the season are hand-carved from water buffalo bones and made in China. They are charming, affordable, and make great gifts and decorative items for friends and your beloved ones. Most sold out, only limited quantity left. So, don't wait!
