Sunbrella Shadow is the first pattern to debut as part of the new Sunbrella Shade category. Shadow is drapeable enough to add romance and light filtering to a window treatment and robust enough to be used on an umbrella.
The Sunbrella Shade category fits nicely between Sunbrella Sheer fabrics and Sunbrella awning and furniture fabrics in terms of sun blockage. Sunbrella Shade is designed to filter or diffuse light where complete blockage is not desirable, but it meets the same stringent physical standards required of all Sunbrella Furniture Fabrics.
Shadow was engineered with a flow-through finish to ensure quick drainage and drying and to prevent pooling when it is used in outdoor applications such as draping over a gazebo.
Shadow is available in 16 colors from light neutrals to black with punches of color in between. Applications for Sunbrella Shade include interior window treatments, awnings, market umbrellas, privacy screens and architectural embellishments on gazebos and other outdoor structures.
All Sunbrella fabrics are stain resistant, fade resistant and easy to clean. Most stains can be removed with mild soap and water, but stubborn stains can be treated with solvents as strong as bleach or acetone without fear of damaging the fabric or removing the color.
