Lewis Bullard was an eccentric and inventor accredited with several patents - the first folding day bed, first successful slot machine, and one of the first adjustable wrenches. Lewis was also passionate about grilling, and in 1906 he designed the original Kalamazoo grill. Today, his passion is carried on by his great grandson, the chief product designer for Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet.
With its distinctive blend of coffee and earthy barbecue flavors, this rub is named for the beautiful Brazilian love of Lewis Bullard's life.
Lewis had no patience for time consuming recipes. This rub is simple in use, yet complex and satisfying in flavor. Simply rub into chicken, pork, beef or redfish 15 minutes before grilling.
